Welcome to MisoYuri!
On this site, you will find Japanese and Japanese fusion recipes. This blog is for you if:
- You’re new to cooking Japanese food
- Live in an area with limited access to an Asian Market
- You like Japanese fusion food
- You like food, period.
Before we get into the cooking, a little about me:
As you may have guessed from the blog title, my name is Yuri. I was born in Japan, but grew up in California. My food-loving mom always made incredible meals at home and instilled a love of cooking in me from a young age. It wasn’t until I moved to Maine for college, and then New Hampshire for grad school (for some reason I seem to love educational institutions in New England) that I realized what a challenge it can be to cook Japanese food without an Asian market nearby.
Some of the recipes in this blog will require specialized items, but I will aim to mainly use ingredients that you can find at your local grocery store. As a working professional, I also know that most of us are busy, so I will focus on big batch recipes or dishes that you can make in 30 minutes or less.
Let’s get cooking!
